The plains zebra (equus quagga) is the most common form of Zebra in Africa. Each animal has a unique pattern of black and white stripes.

The Yellow-billed oxpecker (Buphagus africanus) is of the starling family. An adult will eat over 100 engorged Boophilus decoloratus ticks or 13,000 larvae.
